New Delhi:After two months of delay, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently began theNEET PGcounselling for the academic year 2025. Registration process has begun for the first round of seat allotment for postgraduate medical programmes, including MD, MS and DNB courses. Eligible and interested candidates who wish to participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling can apply on the official MCC website and participate in the first round of allotment. Candidates can lock their college preferences online, and the results of the first round of seat allotment will be announced around two days after the choice-locking window closes. TOP 15 MEDICAL COLLEGES IN INDIA Here is the table of the top 15 medical colleges in India according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings- COLLEGE/INSTITUTE All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. Bhubaneswar "Registration for Round 1 of PG Counselling 2025 has commenced. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Information Bulletin for PG Counselling 2025 before proceeding with the registration process," the notification on the MCC website said. Candidates must note the following instructions Candidates are informed that e-mail ID and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form of NBE will be used for registration on the MCC portal for Counselling. The said fields will be pre-populated in the Application/Registration form of the Counselling. All the information/ communication will be sent by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW through email on the registered e-mail address or SMS on registered Mobile Number only. Any complaint with regard: to the change of registered mobile number or email address shall not be entertained by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW. Candidates are advised to use Laptop or Computer along with the latest registered version of Chrome/Internet Explorer/Firefox/Windows/IOS and a good internet connection during the Registration and Choice-Filling process to avoid any technical complications. Please note that registration facility will be available at the beginning of first round,second round, third round and stray vacancy on notified dates. Under no circumstances any request (for any reason) for registration, shall be entertained after closing of registration. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their original documents during physical reporting to college / institute for confirmation /joining of seat. 1 Main counselling Registration, which will include payment of Non-refundable Registration fee and Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded only in the account from which payment has been made). 2 Exercising of Choice filling and locking of choices. 3 Process of Seat Allotment Round-1. 4 Publication of results of Round-1 on the MCC website. 5 Physical Reporting at the allotted Medical colleges/ Institutes with original documents against Round-1. 6 Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round one can opt for free exit and can directly participate in round two. 7 Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round one can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 only after physical reporting at the college/institute. 8 If a registered candidate is not allotted a seat in round one, he can participate in round 2 directly without fresh registration. 9 Candidates willing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 have to report at the allotted institute/college with original documents of Round 1 and complete the admission formalities. During the completion of admission formalities, if the candidate wishes to upgrade, then he/she has to give their willingness for upgradation in the college. 1 Candidates who registered for Round-1 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. 2 New/fresh registrations for Round-2 are to be done by those candidates who have not registered in Round-1 (with full payment of fees). 3 Candidates who have resigned/not reported in Round-1 need not register again. 4 Fresh Choice filling and locking of choices for Round-2. 5 Publication of results of Round-2 on the MCC website. 6 Physical Reporting with original documents at the allotted Medical College/ institute against Round 2. 7 If upgraded in Round 2, the candidate must take a relieving from Round 1 seat and join the Round 2 seat. 8 If a candidate freshly registered in round 2 is not allotted a seat, he/she can participate in round 3 directly without fresh registration. 9 Candidates getting upgraded in Round 2 Shall NOT have any claim on the Round 1 seat. 10 Candidates who have been freshly allotted a seat in round 2 can opt for willingness to upgrade from round 2 to round 3, for which first they will have to physically report at the Round 2 allotted college/institute and thereafter opt for willingness. 1 Fresh Registration with payment of registration fee for Round-3. 2 Fresh/New Registration Round 3 for those candidates who have not registered in Round 1 or Round 2 (with full payment of fees). Have Resigned from Round 2 can participate with full payment of fees. 3 Those who registered in Round-2 and exited with Forfeiture of fees without joining can proceed with fresh payment of fees. 4 Those who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round-1 & Round-2 need not register again. 5 Exercising of Fresh Choice filling and locking of choices. 6 Publication of results of the third Round on the MCC website. 7 Physical Reporting at the Allotted Medical College/institute after the third Round with original documents. STRAY VACANCY ROUND 1 Fresh registrations and fresh choice filling for the Final Stray Vacancy Round. The choices filled during the third round will not be considered for allotment in the Stray Vacancy Round. 2 Eligibility for Stray vacancy round: Candidates who are not holding any seat or did not participate in Round-1, Round-2, and Round-3 (AIQ, State, Deemed) can participate in the Stray Vacancy Round. 3 Candidates who were freshly allotted seats in round 3 and did not join cannot participate in the Stray Vacancy Round. 4 Data will be shared between the Centre and States after Round 3 of states and if any candidate has his/her name in the list provided by the State after Round 3, such candidates will be weeded out before processing for the All-India Stray Vacancy Round. 5 If a candidate is allotted a seat in the Stray round, he/she has to report & join the allotted seat at the college/institute, else there will be forfeiture of the security deposit. 6 Allotment of seats is ‘Online’ by running software.
