Extra Marital Affair : Bihar Based Woman Doctor Protests Against Husband For Not 'Acknowledging Her As Wife'

Bihar: Dr. Renu Prabha, a doctor at Darbhanga Medical College protested against her husband on the streets of Katihar, Bihar. She accused him of neglectful behavior and having an extramarital affair.
Her husband Santosh is also a doctor who works at Katihar Medical College. In order to confront her husband, she travelled to Katihar and created a ruckus outside his workplace.

The duo are married for five years and have a child but Dr. Renu alleged that her husband neglected her and refuses to acknowledge her as his wife.

Activists from a Kolkata-based NGO Mahila Vikas Manch has stepped in and joined her in Katihar. They also showed support by advocating for her rights, while also attempting to broker peace between the estranged duo.
A spokesperson of the Mahila Vikas Manch told "efforts are being made to reconcile the couple, but so far no headway has been made as Santosh is refusing to discuss the matter."
As per a report in India Today, Dr. Renu has now accused her husband of assault and has threatened to take him to court for his alleged infidelity and willful neglect.
Katihar is the district under Purnea division of Kosi region on Indo-Nepal and Bihar-Bengal Border, and has a glorious past in the field of learning and participation in the freedom movement. It is also the divisional headquarters of Indian Railways. Katihar junction is on the main Delhi-Guwahati rail line and being a five-line junction is well connected with all parts of the country. The main body of Katihar Medical College is a registered trust of the members of the Muslim religious minority community devoted to the promotion of education, research and information dissemination among Muslim minority community as well as general students.
