AIIMS Patna Announces Elective Posting Schedule For MBBS 2020 Batch, Details

Patna: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna, Bihar, has announced in a recent notice that the elective posting for the MBBS 2020 batch has been scheduled for one month from February 1, 2024, to February 29, 2024.
The notice also said that all the important information regarding “elective posting guidelines, modules, preceptor names, and a list of departments (with seats) will be available on the AIIMS Patna SMS portal”.

The notice also states that students can apply for elective posting from January 17, 2024, through student login credentials on the SMS portal. Additionally, a short sensitization session on Elective Posting will be conducted for the students of the MBBS 2020 batch on January 19, 2024, at 04:00 pm.
The notice has been issued by Dr Prem Kumar, Dean (Academic) of AIIMS Patna.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna) is a medical college and medical research public institute located in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, Bihar. It is one of the Institutes of National Importance in India and started operating on 25 September 2012. It was established under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) during the first phase following the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visionary announcement in the Independence Day Speech on 15th August 2003. Its foundation was laid by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, on 3 January 2004, during his tenure as vice president. As of 2018, it became fully functional. The institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna is strategically located to address regional healthcare services, research, and training imbalances.
