Delhi: Famous gynaecologist and the co-founder of Pristyn Care, Dr Garima Sawhney, has proved herself to be a champion of women empowerment by expanding the clinic to an Rs 11,400 crore business.
In her medical career, she acquired patience and skills, which she then applied to advance her business and corporate career.
Dr Garima established Pristyn Care with her partner in 2018 in Gurgaon. Patients essentially receive surgical care from them. They accomplish the same thing with technology. Additionally, they support the patients' healing. They focus primarily on non-emergency operations. It has 1.5 million patients and is active in more than 42 cities.

Dr Garima Sawhney is a reputed Gynecologist and OB-GYN expert and specializes in laparoscopic surgeries (Obs & Gyn), obstetrics and infertility over 15 years of experience. She completed her MBBS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. She obtained her MS - Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Bharati Vidhyapeeth Medical College.
She worked as a Senior Resident at BVP and Max Hospital. After quitting her work at the hospital, she established Pristyn Care. Dr Garima would discuss clinic expansion with Dr Vaibhav, a friend from their shared youth, and Harsimarbir Singh. They finally settled on the area of elective surgery after lengthy deliberations that lasted for some time. They sought to offer cost-effective care that was of a high calibre.
They rebranded and relaunched Pristyn Care. As their business model, they used unused hospital space. They intended to use their spare area to treat patients with the help of their own medical personnel, doctors, and infrastructure. However, they needed capital and approached Sequoia Capital. Three years after the company's founding, it attained unicorn status. The company is currently valued at 1.4 billion dollars or approximately Rs. 11400 crores, reports DNA.
It targeting to generate a revenue of Rs 1000 crore by the financial year 2024. In the Financial Year 22, it secured revenue of Rs 350 crore. This year, they are most likely to come up with a revenue of Rs 1000 crore.
Pristyn Care is a new-age healthcare company with a laser-sharp focus on simplifying the entire surgery journey of a patient and his/her attendant by offering care and assistance at each and every step.
Pristyn Care ensures that the patient’s experience right from the discovery of the right doctor, to booking an appointment at the clinic, getting a detailed diagnosis done, booking tests at a diagnostic center, getting insurance paperwork done, commuting from home to the hospital & back on the day of the surgery, admission-discharge processes at the hospital, and follow-up consultation after the surgery – is hassle-free and care-filled.
At present, Pristyn Care operates via 150+ clinics and 800 + partner hospitals with a panel of 400+ super specialist surgeons who work exclusively for the company.
