
Punjab Health Agency Cancels 37 Fake E Cards Under Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna

Chandigarh: Acting on directives of the Health & Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, State Health Agency has cancelled 37 fake e-cards issued under Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna.
Taking strong note of alleged irregularities in issuance of such cards, Balbir Singh Sidhu had directed the Civil Surgeons to conduct a thorough investigation of Comman Service Centres under their jurisdiction. With detection of fake cards in Fatehgarh Sahib, he has also reiterated for comprehensive audit check of all centres across the state to weed out any spurious beneficiaries.
The Minister said that Criminal proceedings had also been initiated by District Health Authorities against those responsible including the Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) of Common Service Center (CSC) from whose login ID, these wrong cards have been generated.
As a precautionary measure, Sidhu has also asked for CSC Fatehgarh Sahib to be disabled for the time being with the E-card generating capacity of all the Common Service Centers (CSC) of Fatehgarh sahib district also put on hold.
Balbir Singh Sidhu affirmed that no wrongdoing will be tolerated under this scheme and if any person or organization is found guilty of wrongdoing, strict action will be taken against that person/ organization immediately.
