NEET SS 2025 now on December 26th, 27th: NBE

New Delhi:The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Super Speciality (NEET-SS) exam dates for the academic year 2025. According to the notice issued by the NBEMS in this regard, the NEET-SS 2025 exam will now be held on December 26 and 27, 2025. The exam was previously scheduled for December 27th and 28th, 2025- then postponed from the earlier dates of November 7th and 8th. The rescheduling has been approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). This change is applicable to all candidates intending to appear for NEET-SS 2025, which serves as the entrance examination for admission to DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality courses across India. “NEET-SS 2025, which was tentatively scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th November 2025, shall now be conducted on 26th and 27th December 2025. This has approval from NMC and MoHFW”, the notice read. The NEET-SS examination is a national-level qualifying and ranking test that determines admission to various super-speciality courses in medical institutions across the country. It is conducted annually by NBEMS as per the guidelines approved byNMCand the central government. earlier reported that many of the doctors had taken to social media, including X (formerly Twitter), expressing their anguish and asking the NBE and the Health Ministry to release the notification soon. Later, sources at the National Medical Commission (NMC) informed that the schedule is awaiting approval from the Union Health Ministry, and the exam date will be released officially soon after that. "The Commission is waiting for confirmation regarding this from the Ministry's side. However, there is a possibility that the exam might get delayed," an NMC official had informed .
