NEET 2024 Admissions: UP DGME Issues Choice Filling Instructions For Stray Vacancy Round Candidates

Uttar Pradesh- Uttar Pradesh Director General, Medical Education and Training (UPDGME) has released important instructions for the candidates participating in the Choice filling Stray Vacancy Round counselling of UP National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024.
Below are the important information for candidates regarding the online counselling of UP NEET UG 2024-
* Candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses in private sector Medical/Dental College/University are advised to lock their choices only after obtaining complete information about the concerned college at their own level before choice filling.
* Candidates seeking admission to seats in private sector medical / dental colleges should fill their choice only after reviewing the fee structure of the minority / non-minority college / institute / university, which is available on the departmental website.
* In the order dated 17.8.2024 passed by the Hon'ble High Court, Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, Lucknow in Writ Petition No.-6828/2024 U.P. Unaided Medical and Allied Sciences College Welfare Association and others vs. State of Uttar Pradesh and others, very important information regarding fee determination of non-minority institutions of private sector has been displayed on the departmental website by this office letter number-ME-3/2024/1667; dated 17.8.2024 (copy attached below). Therefore, candidates are expected to fill and lock the choice only after viewing the said information.

* In the counseling of stray-vacancy round under UP NEET UG-2024, only those candidates who have deposited the registration / security amount and their documents are found valid after online verification are eligible for the choice filling process.
* The candidate will fill the choice online on the basis of preference for admission to government/private sector medical colleges. The candidate should fill the choice of only those colleges in which he is interested in taking admission. There is no limit for online choice filling.
* It is mandatory to lock the choices after online choice filling. In case of not locking the choices, the candidate will not be included in the seat allocation process. The entire responsibility for this will be of the candidate himself.
* After Choice Lock is done by the candidate, no change or alteration can be made in it nor will any application received in this regard at the Directorate General be considered.
* At the time of choice filling in counselling of stray vacancy round, the unallotted/not admitted and resigned seats from the 3rd round of counselling will be displayed to the candidates as clear-cut vacancy.
* In the counseling of stray-vacancy round, candidates will also be shown the option of Seat Against Cancellation (SAC). SAC seats are a type of virtual vacancies, under which at the time of choice filling, candidates will be shown the option of seats of other reserved category / sub-category in addition to the vacant seats of their category. If any seat of reserved category remains vacant at the time of allotment process, then the allotment process will be completed by merging such seats as per the table contained in Government Order
