Mumbai:The Diabetic Foot Society of India (DFSI) proudly announces the launch of "WoundSights", a first-of-its-kind, year-long national certification programme dedicated to Complex Wound and Diabetic Foot Management. The initiative aims to equip doctors, surgeons, and also paramedical professionals working with doctors with scientific knowledge and practical insights to address one of India’s most overlooked healthcare challenges,diabetic foot ulcers. With nearly 25% of people with diabetes in India at risk of developing afoot ulcer, and 85% of amputations arising from preventable ulcers, this structured CME programme marks a crucial step toward improving outcomes through early detection, prevention, and timely wound care. The WoundSights curriculum includes monthly interactive sessions by national experts, separate modules for doctors and nursing staff, and certification from DFSI upon completion.
