New Delhi: The declaration of NEET 2021 results has been marred by yet another controversy as several candidates have demanded re-examination alleging errors and discrepancies in the scores allotted to them and the final answer key released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The result of the medical entrance exam was declared on November 1 after the Supreme Court gave its permission to declare the NEET result 2021. NTA released the results on its official website neet.nta.nic.in which saw as many as three students securing full marks.

However, several students claimed on social media that there were errors in NEET result 2021 and that the scores did not match the expected marks based on the answer key released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website.
A section of students is demanding re-exam by voicing their concerns and allegations of scams or irregularities in the NEET Exam 2021.
A Twitter user said, "Hi this is same condition with my sis ,that she is expecting that she'll get 650 but the result shows zero it's a big sacm by NTA #NTA #NEETResult2021 #neetscam."
Results For NEET 2021 were declared yesterday and my result showed 0 Out of 720.I scored 89.23 % in 12th and 91.60 % in 10th and was expecting score around 700.

Prime Allegation:
One of the prime allegation by the candidates is that the marks or the NEET Score awarded to the students doesn't match-up with the manual calculation done by them using the NEET Final Answer Key and OMR sheet published by the NTA, reports Jagran Josh.
Candidates allege that their marks as calculated by them on the basis of the answer key and what is given in the original result varies by a considerable margin. Multiple students have taken to social media platforms to voice their concerns using #NEETscam and #NEETResult2021.
What the hell happenings @DG_NTA
Totally fraud, expected marks on basis of omr and answer key as published by you the marks in results of so many students are totally varying. Big scam in neet 2021 results#NEETResult2021 #OMR #neetscam

There were few others who also objected over receiving two ranks and their score cards of the medical entrance exam. One of the students while speaking to Hindustan Times said, "On every scorecard, NTA has mentioned the all-India rank obtained – both overall rank and the rank for counseling –for every student. In my case, there two different ranks awarded to me are for the counseling process itself, which is confusing."
I have got different marks on my OMR and orginal result sheet.....plzz @DG_NTA Plzz go though once !!@DG_NTA #neetscam

The NTA has, however, said that this year the All India Rank (AIR) considered during counselling will be different from the ranks released by the agency. The agency has dropped the age criteria from ranking but the the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) continues to consider the same, hence the NTA and MCC will be considering separate ranks.
This year, NTA released results without using the tie-breaker system—which means the top three students who scored 720 out of 720 shared the first rank, while the next rank given is directly the fourth one. Similarly, 12 candidates share the fifth rank as per this year.
NTA mentioned that a tie-breaking system will be used for admission purposes, wherein a student older in age will take the first rank, followed by those younger to him/her, and therefore shared a separate all-India rank to each student for admissions counselling purpose.
"The rule to consider age of a student in case of a tie and give the higher rank to someone older has been mentioned by the ministry of health education, and while we wanted to mention overall ranks keeping this rule aside, for counselling purpose, we had to use tie-breaker and release results," said a senior official from NTA. He added that students who have got errors in their scorecards should download the same from NTA website again and get in touch with the authority if the errors remain despite downloading the scorecard, reports HT.
Prior to this, several malpractices and exam irregularities had surfaced where-in candidates had allegedly paid hefty sum to appear as proxy on behalf of them and crack the medical entrance exam. Many such cases are still under investigation in multiple states.
Based on these, a few students had approached the apex court seeking cancellation of exam alleging malpractices and unfair exams for the students. However, after surpassing all these challenges, NTA managed to declare NEET Result 2021 1st November, which has again been marred in controversy regarding score and answer key.
