Walking 10 Km A Day To School, Village Girl From JnK Cracks AIIMS Entrance To Pursue Her Dream Of MBBS

The now MBBS medico, who is now on the path to fulfil her dreams to become a doctor, that too from AIIMS, had to walk a distance of 10 kilometres on foot every day to go to school as there was no good school near the village.
Rajouri: In a major first, Irmm Shamim, a resident of Dhanore village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) has cracked the entrance exam of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), despite living in an environment which is not conducive to studies. The now MBBS medico, who is now on the path to fulfil her dreams to become a doctor, that too from AIIMS, had to walk a distance of 10 kilometres on foot every day to go to school as there was no good school near the village.
Shamim said she never thought of qualifying for the AIIMS exam, but was sure of getting good results of her hard work.

Shamim gave out a message to other youngsters that nothing is impossible, and one only needs hard work to achieve their goals.
Belonging to a backward community and struggling with financial woes, Shamim took all the challenges coming on her way head-on.
'Everyone has some problem in their life. You have to fight the challenges and success will definitely come to you,' she said.
Speaking to ANI, Shamim's uncle Liaqat Choudhary expressed happiness on her success and said that girls are the hope of the region.
'The girls of Jammu and Kashmir have shown their talent in every field of life on national and international levels,' he said.
District Development Commissioner, Aijaz Asad, has appreciated her on the achievement and assured of every possible help to continue studies in future
