Puducherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released 33 vacancies for the post of Senior Resident on a Regular Basis. The candidates will be selected based on written test and interview.
JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. JIPMER was first established on 1 January 1823 and it is the oldest institute to teach European medicine in Asia. JIPMER offers various undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses. Located at Pondicherry, JIPMER is also a fully functional hospital that provides medical treatments to patients from all over the world. It has about 200 faculty members 3,000 staff and 360 resident physicians. JIPMER has always projected excellence in what it does and has been constantly ranked among the top colleges of the country by various prime websites. JIPMER started operating from one more newly opened campus at Karaikal from November 2015.
Vacancy Details:
Total no of vacancies: 33
The vacancies are in the Department of - Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Pharmacology, Physiology, Community Medicine, Radio-Diagnosis, and General Surgery.
Date for written test and Walk-in-Interview (tentative): 7th and 9th December 2020.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
1. A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be conducted for eligible candidates followed by a personal interview.
2. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written test marks. A list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed in our notice board on the same day. In this regard, this Institute reserves the right to take the final decision.
3. Selection process for the post of Senior Resident will include a written examination (80%) and a personal interview (20%).
Interested and eligible candidates may attend the Written test and Interview to be held at 08.30.A.M on 07-12-2020 (MONDAY) AND 09-12-2020 (WEDNESDAY) at JIPMER ACADEMIC CENTRE, JIPMER, PUDUCHERRY as per the above schedule along with
i) Filled in application & Bio-Data in the prescribed format (appended)
ii) Original Certificates with one set of Self-attested copy thereof and
iii) Copy of the printout of fees paid online (No fee is required to be payable by Persons with Disabilities (PwD's) candidates).
