Visakhapatnam: A routine lunch break turned fatal at Deccan Remedies Private Limited after a gas leak in the pharmaceutical plant's reactor facility claimed the life of a senior chemist in Parwada Pharma City. The 41-year-old chemist, M Poli Naidu, collapsed suddenly while dining in the company canteen on Sunday afternoon. Colleagues rushed him to a hospital in Gajuwaka, but despite medical efforts, he was declared dead at 6 am the following day.
