A video recently went viral on social media platform in which a candidate of National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) was not being allowed to enter the examination hall due to being two minutes late.

In the video, a young NEET PG aspirant girl was seen crying and screaming at the authorities to open the gate. Meanwhile, she also tried to break the entrance of the examination hall after she was allegedly denied entry for being late by just 2 minutes. This happened because the girl misunderstood the entry gate, which was not mentioned anywhere, so she reached at 8:32 instead of the actual gate closing time of 8:30.

As per the TOI media news report, the video has been shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user, who wrote while sharing the video that “a PG aspirant's dream got shattered as she wasn't allowed to enter the exam centre, the gate closing time was 8:30 but girl arrived at 8:32 was refused to enter the exam due to her misunderstanding about the entry gate which was not mentioned”.

The video received mixed reactions as soon as it was shared, with some users saying that the 2-minute delay shouldn't have been a big issue. Meanwhile, some users said that the rules were clearly written on the admit card and the girl should have planned her journey accordingly.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBMES) on 11th August 2024 successfully conducted the NEET PG 2024 exam. The exam was conducted in two shifts i.e. from 9 am to 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm in 185 test cities across the country. For the conduction of the exam, additional security measures are being taken by NBEMS and MoHFW (Govt. of India).

As per the NBEMS and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, over 1,950 independent evaluators and 300 flying squad members were deployed at exam centres across India to oversee the conduct of the NEET PG exam.
