Prayagraj: Protesting against an act of alleged violence, the nurses of Moti Lal Nehru Medical College boycotted their duties on Monday after one of the junior doctors of the institution allegedly slapped a nurse during a verbal altercation.
According to ANI, the nurses held a day-long protest inside the hospital premises demanding adequate action against the junior doctor, who allegedly slapped one of the nurses during a heated argument.

Though the authenticity of the allegations is yet to be revealed, the authorities have ensured that they will take serious action if the allegations are proved to be true.
"The nurse has complained. Action will be taken after speaking to the doctor about the incident" said the Superintendent in Incharge of the hospital.

A few days ago a similar incident took place in Gujarat where many doctors joined hands to protest against a case of violence against one of their fellow doctors. had earlier reported that condemning the verbal and physical assault on a urologist, around 10000 doctors across the State suspended their outpatient department (OPD) services demanding action against the assaulters.
