Bhopal: Doctor Commits Suicide Over Financial Problems
Stressed over financial problems, an MBBS Doctor posted at the government-run Hamidia Hospital allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Narialkheda locality on Tuesday night after he incurred losses in share market business.
The 56-year-old doctor was posted at Sanjivani clinic in Nariyalkhed on a contract basis.
On Tuesday, the doctor had dinner along with his family and went to sleep. When his elder sister-in-law woke up during midnight, she found him hanging at 1:45 am.
A suicide note was recovered from the scene, in which the doctor claimed that he was taking the extreme step, as he was going through a financial crisis and was under a lot of stress, police said.

In the handwritten note, the doctor wrote that he had invested lakhs of rupees in share market business but suffered loss. He also mentioned in the note that he was facing a financial crunch. Sources told PTI, the doctor was depressed after making the loss.
In charge of Gautam Nagar police station Saurabh Pandey told The Free Press Journal that the doctor earlier worked with a private hospital but he had quit his job and began practicing at a state-run Sanjivani clinic.
