Renowned Ophthalmologist Dr Deepak Mishra Bags Three AIOS Awards

Varanasi: In a remarkable milestone, Dr Deepak Mishra Associate Professor of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University won 3 prestigious awards at the annual conference of All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS).
He received the AIOS Achievement Award (given based on credit score of scientific presentation at AIOS), the AIOS Lacrimal Gold Medal Award for Best Paper in Lacrimal and the AIOS International Hero Award (given to ophthalmologists for their international achievements).
The annual conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) was held in Kolkata from March 13 to 17. BHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Sudhir Jain extended his congratulations to Dr Deepak on 'X'.

Dr Deeepak is the recipient of 30 awards including 15 Gold Medals awards at various conferences and scientific meetings. In January this year, he was bestowed with the prestigious "Outstanding Ophthalmic Teachers Of India" Award at Dr R P Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi for his contribution towards teaching & training of ophthalmic residents across India.
He is also the author of Seven National and Guest Editor of 3 international books published by Highlight Publication, Panama, USA along with board member for 20 National and International Medical Journals.
Dr Mishra was presented with several awards including Best Physical Poster in Cataract for his research work on Effect of Cataract surgery on Incidence and Pattern of Dry Eye and Commendation certificate for his work done on the Impact of COVID-19 on Residency training program.
Previously, he held the position of Chairman Scientific Committee U.P. S.O.S, Joint Secretary International Society for Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery and Honorary Secretary of the Varanasi Ophthalmic Society.
