PGIMER Announces Schedule For Spot Counselling For INI CET January 2023 Session

Chandigarh: Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) has announced the schedule for spot counselling and admission for MD/MS course for INI CET January 2023 session.
Per the notice, the spot round will be held on 28.2.2023 at 11:00 AM at Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Eligible and interested candidates are requested to be seated in the auditorium at 10:30 AM on 28.02.2023. The candidates who have qualified for the INI-CET (January 2023) conducted by AIIMS New Delhi and have not joined or held any seat in INIs for January 2023 session will be able to participate.
9 seats are available for spot counselling. General candidates have 6 seats, foreign nationals 2 seats, and Bhutanese nationals 1 seat available. The detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.
The candidates with minimum percentile in INI-CET (January-2023), as mentioned below against each category, are eligible to attend the spot counselling –
1. For seats under Unreserved (UR), Foreign Nationals [including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)] will be 50 percentile
2. For OBC, SC, ST, and Bhutanese Nationals, seats will be 45 percentile
Spot counselling for reserved category candidates, i.e. RAS, SC, ST and OBC, will be done before General Category Candidates. The seats remaining vacant under Reserve Category will be filled against General Category. In the case of Rural Area Services candidates, seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis.
Candidates willing to attend the spot counselling should have to bring all the Original documents with them, and those who will opt for the seat during the counselling will have to join immediately on the same day, i.e. 28.02.2023 have to submit the original documents at the time of counselling. No request for an extension of joining shall be entertained after that.

List of documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original along with one set of self-attested photocopies –
1. INI-CET (January 2023) Scorecard
2. Final Registration Slip
3. Admit Card issued by AIIMS
4. Mark Sheets of MBBS/ 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
5. MBBS/ Degree Certificate
6. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the Candidate will be completing the internship by 31st January 2023.
7. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical.
8. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)
The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable –
1. SC/ST: Original Certificates issued by the competent authority
2. OBC: Original Certificates should be issued between 12.10.2021 to 13.11.2022 (inclusive of both dates) by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. The community should be mentioned in the certificate
3. RAS: Rural Area Service Certificate issued by the concerned District Magistrate
Foreign National/Bhutanese Nationals seats will not be converted against any other category. No Foreign National/Bhutanese Nationals candidate can join the MD/MS course without registration with the National Commission of India.
Selected candidates must deposit a course fee/security amounting to Rs. 4470 through a debit card on the spot to confirm their seat provisionally. Any seat accrued till the date of holding counselling will be filled up, changing the status of available seats indicated in this notice. Hence, the above seats are tentative and are subject to change.
