Further referring to its decision to conduct surprise inspections of various medical colleges, the Apex Medical Commission has informed that in order to maintain the element of surprise, the Assessors will be informed about the travel details 48 hours prior to the inspection date. Apart from this, intending to reduce human intervention in the process of selecting medical college assessors, MARB recently announced its decision to use a 'Robust Randomization Software' to choose the persons who will assess the medical colleges.

It was specified by the NMC Board in the newly released guidelines for the assessment and rating of medical colleges. These guidelines will be implemented next year i.e. the academic year 2024-2025.
