NIRF 2025: Delhi shines with 7 medical colleges in top 50

Delhi-The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 was recently released for medical colleges across India. The NIRF Ranking 2025 highlights the standard of education, infrastructure, faculty and research facilities in these institutions. According to theNRIF 2025ranking, Delhi has reinforced its reputation as India’s medical capital for thousands of aspiring doctors. In the list, theAll India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) Delhi has been ranked number 1 across India with 91.80 marks. The following are the top 7 Medical colleges across Delhi, as per the NIRF Ranking 2025- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital Maulana Azad Medical College Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences Lady Hardinge Medical College University College of Medical Sciences Jamia Hamdard The performance of Delhi's medical institutions is not just a sum of marks, but a reflection of their wider impact on public health, research and training. With access to some of India's largest hospitals, students here gain exposure to diverse medical challenges, cutting-edge technologies and a culture of innovation that prepares them for global roles. The NIRF2025 rankings were announcedby the Ministry of Education on September 4. Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, released the India Rankings 2025, which implements the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) drafted by the Ministry of Education in 2015 for this purpose. Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education and DoNER, Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary (HE), Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE, Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, NETF, NAAC and NBA and Dr. Anil Kumar Nassa, Member Secretary, NBA, were present on this occasion along with vice chancellors and directors of institutions of higher education.
