New Delhi: BLK Hospital Resident Doctor Kills Self On Poor NEET PG Score

New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a 28-year doctor allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison after she failed to score good marks in the NEET PG exam. The exam is the main entrance exam for MD/MS courses in the country.

The woman doctor, now identified as Dr Satender Kaur was discovered by her husband on Saturday at lying unconscious on the bathroom floor of her house and frothing at her mouth. She was first rushed to a private hospital, and as her condition kept on deteriorating she was taken to AIIMS. Despite all treatment, she succumbed to death.

Dr Kaur, recently married to a lawyer, was associated with BL Kapoor Hospital in New Delhi as an MBBS doctor. She had recently appeared for the MD entrance examination but did not score well. Her husband informed that after the result she became depressed, kept herself locked up for days and refused to talk to anyone reports TOI.

“She recently applied for Doctor of Medicines but since the results were announced, she was in depression and was not talking to anyone. A week before the whole family went to the village for cultivation and on Friday afternoon the family came back”, Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) informed the Tribune. As per Primarily investigation, Kaur brought pesticides from the village and in midnight she consumed it.

Her body has been sent for post-mortem.
