NEIGRIHMS Signs MoU With Meghalaya On Health Insurance

                                    Shillong: Super-specialty North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to roll out health insurance scheme in the hospital.
The MOU for the implementation of Phase III of Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) was signed between NEIGHRIHMS, New India Assurance Co Ltd, and Medicare TPA. Following the signing of the MOU, beneficiaries enrolled under MHIS Phase III can now show their MHIS smart card at NEIGHRIHMS and avail the benefits under the scheme. Although there were some issues regarding terms and conditions of the MoU the Director asked for sorting out the issues later on so that patients of the state do not suffer.
It was informed in the meeting that empanelment of NEIGRIHMS with the phase II of the Scheme has helped a total number of 1129. Empanelment of NEIGRIHMS for phase III will definitely help many more beneficiaries who come under this scheme to avail the benefits of diagnosing and treatment facilities at NEIGRIHMS.
