NEET MDS 2021 Percentile Reduced: DCI Gives New Deadline To All Dental Colleges For Uploading Details Of Admitted Students

Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Dental Council of India (DCI) has once again directed all the dental colleges to upload details of MDS students. This comes pursuant o the lowering of the NEET MDS percentile cutoff for the academic year 2021.
The notice dated 15th November 2021, Monday, was addressed to the heads of all the colleges running MDS courses in the country, regarding uploading the details of students to be admitted in MDS Courses at Dental Colleges for the academic session 2021-2022, on DCI Website.
had earlier reported that the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi, has lowered down the qualifying cut-off by 23.029 percentile for the different categories. The revised cut-off percentiles for the different categories are as follows –
General Category - 26.971th Percentile
SC/ST/OBC (Including PWD Of SC/ST/OBC) - 16.971th Percentile
UR-PWD - 21.971th Percentile

Keeping in view of the reduced percentile, the DCI has once again directed the principals of the dental colleges to upload the details of students, admitted in MDS Courses at their dental institution for the academic session 2021 -2022, on DCI Website, using their already allotted login credentials, on or before the last date of admission i.e. 20th November, 2021 (12.00 midniqht). The DCI has also warned that in case the colleges do not adhere to the above-mentioned deadlines, it shall not entertain details of any students in any circumstances.
The DCI has further reiterated that for Dental Colleges facing any difficulty in uploading the details of foreign students in the absence of registration with respective State Dental Council, on DCI website, after admissions are advised to send complete details of admission of such students by e-mail to secy.dci@nic.jn on or before 20th November 2021 (12.00 midniqht). It must be noted that this relaxation is applicable only to an admission to MDS Courses of foreign students, but not for Indian students.
The notice was signed by Ms. Kamini Uppal, Assistant Secretary, DCI.
Earlier, the DCI had ordered the colleges to provide the details positively by 10.11.2021
