New Delhi- NEET candidates who vote in the general elections to the Lok Sabha and have their fingers linked, will not face any prohibition from entering the examination hall of the examination conducted by NTA.
The notice has been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) while refuting the several messages circulating on social media, which are claiming that “individuals who vote in the General Elections to the Lok Sabha and have their fingers inked will be prohibited from entering examination halls of the examinations conducted by NTA”.
As per the notice, NTA has clarified that these messages are completely baseless and NTA has not issued any such instructions or guidelines regarding the ‘voting affecting the student examination eligibility”.
Furthermore, the NTA has clearly instructed the students not to pay heed to such rumours and to exercise their voting rights however, voting will not affect the students' eligibility to take examinations. Also, students are advised to focus on their studies and prepare for the upcoming examinations.

NTA is going to hold the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET (UG) 2024 i.e. on on 05 May 2024 from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M. throughout the country and 14 cities outside India in Pen & paper (offline) mode. Recently, NTA had reopened the window for making final corrections in the application form for NEET (UG)-2024 for two days i.e. from April 11 to April 12 at 11.50 pm. However, currently, till 11.50 pm on 15th April, candidates who have used Aadhaar other than their own can make Aadhaar authentication corrections.
had earlier reported that in 2016 NEET-UG saw eight lakh registrations and in 2017 it marked 11.3 lakh registrations which was the first big jump for NEET-UG. After crossing 10 lakh registrations in 2017, the growth has increased to 12.4 lakh so far.
