NEET 2024 Application Deadline Extended

New Delhi - The deadline for NEET 2024 application submissions has been extended till March 16, 2024, till 10:50 PM. The application fee will have to be deposited by 11:50 PM on the same date.

As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) public notice, while announcing the extension of NEET 2024 registration last date, NTA has said, “Candidates should note that this is a one-time opportunity, so they are advised to use it carefully as no further chance will be given for applying for NEET (UG) - 2024. Please make a note of this and fill out the online Application Form accordingly”.

Earlier, the deadline for submitting the NEET application form for 2024 was initially set for March 9, 2024, which has now been extended by one week. The registration process for NEET 2024 commenced on February 9, 2024.

NEET 2024 exam is scheduled for May 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 5:20 PM in a paper and pen format, across 14 cities in the country and outside India.

According to a TOI news report, the testing agency has experienced a record-breaking registration form submission for the first time. Over 25 lakh registration forms have been received, which is 4.2 lakh more than last year.

Over 13 lakh applications have been made by women candidates for about 2 lakh seats, including 1.09 lakh MBBS, 26,000 dental, along with Unani, Homeopathy, Veterinary, Ayurveda, and nursing seats.

On March 9, which was the last date for the registration process, a large number of students were registering and had also demanded an extension of the last date as many candidates were not able to link their Aadhar card and mobile link. Some could not get the OTP because their old number is linked to their Aadhaar card.

In response, the NTA notice stated, "In support of the student community, the registration for receiving online Application Forms for NEET (UG) - 2024 is extended”.
