NBE Releases FDST 2023 Results For BDS Graduates, Details

New Delhi- The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the result of the Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) graduates 2023.
As per the result, out of total 100 marks, 21 students are not qualified and 11 students are qualified for appearing for Viva-Voce based on the Paper I theory exam. On the other hand, out of total 150 marks, 21 students are not qualified and 11 students are qualified for appearing for Viva-Voce based on Paper II.

The Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) 2023 for BDS graduates was conducted by NBEMS on 20 January 2024 on a computer-based platform in New Delhi.
As per the Dental Council of India Screening Test Regulations 2009 (amended up to September 2018), a candidate must obtain 50% marks in each paper individually to qualify to appear in the viva-voce examination. Meanwhile, to pass the screening test the candidate has to score 50% marks in the viva-voce examination separately.
Lastly, NBE has also informed that the date and venue of the viva voce examination will be informed to the theory-qualified candidates individually.

Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) is an entrance test which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in the offline mode for candidates to provide registration certificates from the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC). Only Indian citizens or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) possessing a primary dental qualification/PG Diploma/Postgraduate Dental qualification awarded by any dental institution outside India are eligible to appear for FDST 2023.
The eligibility criteria for FDST is that the candidate must be an Indian Citizen or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). Additionally, the candidates who have a primary dental qualification / PG Diploma / Postgraduate Dental qualification are awarded by any dental institution outside India.
