Nagpur: GMCH Doctor Blackmailed Over Obscene Video, Extorted Of Rs 1.75 Lakh

Nagpur: A doctor associated with a Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) lost Rs 1.75 lakh after a woman allegedly threatened to make his 'obscene' videos viral on social media.
The doctor accepted the friend request from a woman identified as Payal Joshi on Facebook on August 14. However, it has been reported that the woman indulged in sexual talks with him, following which she asked him to share his mobile number.

Further, Live Nagpur reports that the woman allegedly threatened him to strip in front of the camera during a video call. She reportedly began blackmailing the doctor and demanded him to deposit money in a particular account in return for not showing his videos to his family members.
He then deposited Rs 1.75 lakh to the account. However, the doctor eventually approached and lodged an FIR with Ajni Police. A police officer said that the matter is being investigated by the police, who are mulling over the possibility of a fake profile made by an online fraudster as being responsible for the money extortion.

Police had booked a case against three people and are probing further. It had been reported that the woman, along with her associates, targeted rich men and extorted money after honey trapping them.
The doctor was persuaded by the woman first, and both became friends in a short period. To take his money, the woman invited the doctor into her house to get close to the doctor. While the duo was getting intimate, her associates recorded a video of them, which they used later to blackmail and demand money from the doctor.
