Bhopal: The dean of Datia government medical college was removed from his post after an internal audit by the government found alleged irregularities in the recruitment of nurses in medical colleges.
Over 500 nurses were appointed through an online exam by MP Online, to Datia and Gwalior medical colleges.

Expressing concerns over the issue, the medical education department wrote to the divisional commissioner. The issue was also raised by Vyapam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi, reports Times of India.
Stating that the admissions took place in a clear defiance of the rules, he added, "SC/ST category candidates have been selected in the general category. Many of them have the same numbers, which is causing more suspicion. This has to be investigated so that deserving candidates can get the jobs. "
In an earlier media report by Times of India , chaturvedi had said, "One of the deans has given a funny response saying that leftovers would be given a chance on priority basis in 2029. A candidate who is 30 would cross the eligibility criteria after a decade. This is a scam."
Candidates from the reserved category were selected with 41 marks while OBC with 43 were rejected, he said, while accusing senior officers of indulging in large scale corruption.
He had submitted a complaint to the Lokayukta for an investigation.
