MP Nursing College Scam: CM Announces State-Level Competitive Exam For Nursing Admissions

Madhya Pradesh- In a recent update on the case of irregularities in the recognition of nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh, the MP CM Mohan Yadav announced tough action in the matter.
Further, he has declared a state-level competitive exam on the lines of engineering and medical entrance exams for admission to nursing colleges. Also, all the officers and employees involved in the irregularities would be dismissed and action would be taken against the then Registrar and Secretary of the Nursing Council.
The CM tweeted that instructions have been given to take tough action in all cases of irregularities in nursing educational institutions. All officers and employees involved in irregularities will be sacked, he warned.

As per the recent India TV News Media report, the CM made this announcement in a meeting with several other senior officials on Saturday. It was also decided in the meeting that as per the Centre’s Nursing Act, a commission will be formed in Madhya Pradesh and now the National Commission will also recognise the new nursing colleges.
Also, this has been confirmed by CM Mohan Yadav’s recent X (formerly Twitter) post in which it is written that "Instructions have been given to take strict action in all cases of irregularities in nursing teaching institutions. The services of all the officers and employees involved in this will be terminated. On the lines of engineering and medical, nursing students will have to appear for the examination at the state level. A commission will be formed in the state as per the Centre's Nursing Act. In the future, the National Commission will give recognition to nursing institutions. Also, action will be taken against the then registrar and secretary of the Nursing Council. Such irregularities will not be tolerated at all”.
had earlier reported that the probe done by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the nursing college scam in Madhya Pradesh has revealed that its officers were allegedly collecting Rs 2-10 lakh from each institute to give favourable reports after inspection.
The CBI had arrested a total of 13 persons, which also included the chairman of Indore-based R D Memorial College of Nursing and Pharmacy, Ravi Bhadoria, Director of Gwalior-based Bhaskar College of Nursing Jugal Kishor Sharma, Principal of Bhopal-based Bhabha University Jalpana Adhikari and Om Goswami of Pratyansh College of Nursing and Paramedical, Indore.
