
MCC Tells Kerala Medical College To Hold Offline Counselling For Vacant NEET SS Seat, Releases Schedule, List Of Eligible Candidates

New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the MCC has informed about the conduction of offline counselling for the DM (Neurology) seat of Government Medical College, Kottayam. Besides, the MCC has released the schedule for the counselling and the list of candidates eligible to appear for the same.
had earlier reported that the Kerala HC had directed the MCC to conduct fresh mop up round for the vacant DM Neurology seat at the medical college. The issue emerged after a candidate who got admission to DM (Neurology) in Government Medical College, Kottayam resigned on 16.05.2022 and joined AIIMS, New Delhi. The said seat was not included in the mop up round.

"All the eligible candidates for Super-speciality Course in DM (Neurology) subject are hereby informed that, as per the directions vide an order dated 25.05.2022 of Hon'ble High Court of Kerala in W.P. no. 16404 of 2022 (Dr. Parvathy S. vs. DGHS & ors.) has directed DGHS & MCC, DGHS to conduct counselling for a seat of DM (Neurology) in Government Medical College,Kottayam within a week," the MCC said in its notice.
Now, in order to comply with the letter & spirit of the said order, DGHS authorizing Government Medical College, Kottayam to conduct offline counselling for one (01) seat of DM (Neurology).
Candidates who are eligible:
Candidates who are registered & not holding any seat in Round-1, Round-2 & Mop-up round of Super speciality Counselling 2021.
Candidates who are not eligible:
Candidates who have already joined their allotted seat through Superspeciality counselling 2021,
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in any round of Counselling & failed to report to their allotted seat.

Publication of waiting list of eligible candidates on MCC website: 30.05.2022 (Monday)
Invitation of candidates willing to participate & shortlist of candidates: 31.05.2022 to 02.06.2022 (Tuesday-Thursday)
Offline spot counselling & reporting 03.06.2022 (Friday)
