MCC Releases List Of Eligible MBBS Candidates For JIPMER Domicile Seats, Details

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, has stated that the candidates, who are eligible to participate in counselling as per the norms of the National Testing Agency (NTA)/ National Medical Commission (NMC) for admission into MBBS programme in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), can register for the institute's domicile seats.
In a notice issued on Saturday for JIPMER candidates, the committee said the directorate of health and family welfare services, Puducherry, had furnished the list of Puducherry/Yanam domicile candidates. "
"Candidates, who are eligible to participate in counselling as per norms of NTA/ NMC can register for Jipmer domicile seats. Such candidates can exercise choices for all India quota and Jipmer domicile seats according to the schedule if they meet the eligibility criteria," said the notice.
The committee also uploaded the names of 14 Puducherry candidates and 44 Yanam candidates, who are missing in the Puducherry domicile list.

The MCC earlier withdrew the MBBS/BDS admission list on Friday following a Madras high court order and extended round one counselling by permitting fresh registration from 8pm on January 28 till noon on January 30.

had earlier reported that seeking relief for 14 NEET qualified students, who had been denied enrolment for MBBS admission in JIPMER, the Director of Health and Family Welfare and Nodal Officer NEET, Dr. G Sriramulu had written to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) and Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS.
The Government had requested the institute to permit all students belonging to the Puducherry domicile whose names have not been provided by the Government, after verifying their residential proof
