Manipur: Construction Of New Medical College With 100 MBBS Seats To Begin At Churachandpur

Imphal: A new medical college will soon come up at Churachandpur which will be the third medical College in the state.
For the construction of the new medical college, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved and sanctioned Rs 325 crores, of which the first installment has been transferred to the state government.

Minister of Transport, TA & Hills and GAD , Vungzagin Valte visited the construction site of the proposed Medical College and surveyed the best approach road to the college which is situated near Mata Village, Churachandpur today.
Speaking to the press at the site, the Minister said that the new the the medical college with 100 seats will be constructed over an area of 25 acres.
He added that the construction work will start as soon as possible for the benefit of the young generation.
The minister also surveyed the best approach road to be constructed with the minimum width of 12 metres from Tiddim Road.
The Medical College will be funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The approach road to the college will be taken up by the PWD and the construction of Medical College by the Manipur Police Housing Corporation.
