Maulana Azad Medical College Reopening Notice

New Delhi: In a bid to start the institutional process, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) has issued a notice to reopen the institute latest by December 1. This comes after the directives, as received, from the Union Health Ministry to the medical college under the Delhi state government.

Owing to the pandemic, the spread of the virus has shut all educational institutions of the country since the month of March. However, seeing the loss and delay in medical teaching and academics, and the repercussions on the medical education sector as well as the availability of doctors in the future, the apex medical regulator, National Medical Commission (NMC) recently recommended that the medical colleges may re-open on or before 1st December 2020.
