Kolkata doctor, husband attacked after minor road collision

Kolkata:In a shocking case ofroad rage, adoctorand her husband were allegedly harassed and assaulted following a minor accident on Narkeldanga Main Road last Sunday afternoon. The police have arrested the main accused and are investigating whether the incident was staged to extort money. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the couple was driving their car and encountered a biker riding without a helmet. The biker reportedly made a sudden right turn without signalling, causing the car to collide with the rear tyre of the bike. The doctor stated that her husband immediately apologised, explaining that the accident was unintentional. However, the biker allegedly responded with aggression- slapping the doctor’s husband and seizing his car keys. He is also accused of using abusive language and threatening to summon a mob.
