Karnataka: PG Diploma Post MBBS Courses Approved For Central Railway Hospital

Hubballi: The Railway Board has given its approval to start post MBBS Diploma courses in the Central Railway Hospital in Hubballi and Divisional Railway Hospital in Mysuru to teach in the specialized subjects of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine and Paediatrics, according to a Press release issued by the South Western Railway (SWR) Headquarters.
The Post Graduation courses will be started after inspection and accreditation by Diplomate of National Board (DNB) authorities. The selection of candidates will be through the NEET examination and allotment by DNB authorities. Fifty percent of these PG Courses are reserved for IRHS officers and the rest of the 50 pc are open to public.

These Post Graduation course will help Railways in getting specialists for railways in particular fields and will help to improve the strength of specialists over all, the statement added.
The press note said that all the Three Railway hospitals under the SWR have also been successfully running Centers to administer Covid-19 vaccination. So far, 733 Health Warriors have taken first dose and 484 have taken the second dose.
While 876 Frontline Health care workers from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) also have been administered with the first dose of the vaccination. All the three Railway Hospitals of the South Western Railway are also the Empanelled Hospitals for treatment of PM-JAY beneficiaries, the press note added.
