Puducherry: Three days first-year postgraduate orientation program for MD/MS & MDS students (Jan 2023) has been scheduled for 8.2.2023 till 10.2.2023. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has announced this through a written notice.
The venue for the orientation program will be Lecture Hall, 3rd floor, JISPH Building, JIPMER. Registration for the program will start sharp at 8.30 am on 8.2.2023. Participants must bring a fully charged laptop and a pen drive for workshop activities. They are also requested to come with a hardcopy of the PGRMC (Word Doc) form, which can be downloaded from the following link mentioned in the notice below.
All the Heads of Departments are requested to circulate this among the First Year MD/MS & MDS students and permit them to attend the program. Also, please do not post them on night duty before and during the program days and inform all unit heads to relieve the residents on time, enabling them to attend all sessions on time.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research is a medical school in Pondicherry. It is an institute of national importance (INI) and a tertiary care referral hospital. It is under the direct administrative control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Government, with autonomy to run its internal administration. The courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, fellowships, PhD programs, post-basic diplomas, and certified courses.
JIPMER originated in 1823 as the Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry, established by the French Government. It was renamed Dhanvantari Medical College in 1956 at the time of the de facto transfer of Pondicherry to the Government of India. It was established on its current campus in 1964 and is spread over 1922 acres.
Recently team reported that JIPMER had announced the counselling schedule and vacant seats available for BSc Nursing & Allied Health Sciences courses. Per the notice, the counselling will be conducted on 7.2.2023 for BSc Nursing & Allied Health Sciences courses. 181 seats are available for the counselling process.
