Jamshedpur: 70-Year-Old Doctor Jumps To Death From Fifth Floor, Cops Suspect Suicide

Jamshedpur: In an unfortunate incident, a 70-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of the Madhusudan Apartment.
The deceased has been identified as Jeet Lal who was a doctor at Chakradharpur Government Hospital but left the job after he was diagnosed with a serious illness.
Others at the scene immediately took him to the MGM Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead after conducting an examination. It was revealed that he was living in Madhusudan Apartment near Dimna Chowk under the MGM police station of Jamshedpur with his wife after applying for VRS years back.

The police suspect that he committed suicide as he was unable to bear the pain of his illness and was suffering from depression. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon when he left his room after taking medicine for his illness and went straight to the terrace and jumped from the spot.
After reaching the scene, DSP Patmada Sumit Kumar told The Avenue Mall "The report of suicide has not been received and we are investigating the matter. At the same time, some family members also informed that he may have gone to the balcony and somehow slipped and fell from the railing. However, we conclude the case as a suicide matter. People have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem."
