ICMR Invites Research Proposals For Fellowships Under HRD Scheme, Check Out Details

Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited research proposals for fellowships under human resource development (HRD) scheme for health research of department of health research in the emerging fields of medical/clinical/health sciences for the year 2022-23.
The one who wishes to apply needs to submit the application through the website portal of DHR/ICMR: https://dhrschemes.icmr.org.in. Details of the eligibility, format of application, terms & conditions, and programme guidelines are available on the DHR website. Last date of receipt of full length research proposals: 22nd June till 5:30 PM.
The HRD scheme aims to provide advanced training in India to medical and health research personnel in cutting edge research related to medicine and health for creating trained human resources for carrying out advanced research activities.
The online research proposals are invited for the following –
1. Long Term/Short Term Fellowship for training in Indian Institutes.
2. Fellowship Program for Young Scientists.
3. Fellowship Program for Women Scientists.
4. Support Institutes for imparting training in identified areas.
5. Research grant and fellowship to encourage Health Research Personnel [Non-resident Indian (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)] serving abroad to come back to India for undertaking research in identified areas.
All projects involving research on human beings/ animals must be cleared by the Human Ethics Committee/ Animal Ethics Committee of the respective institute.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is the apex body in India which carries biomedical research in the country. This is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies globally and is funded by the Government of India through the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The ICMR has always attempted to address itself to the growing demands of scientific advances in biomedical research on the one hand and to the need of finding practical solutions to the health problems of the country on the other.
