Lucknow: A viral video on social media showing four persons in the car, the desperate lines '300 Maar' and 'Charo Marenge' became the whispered goodbye of a doctor, engineer, and two others who died after their BMW car crashed at 230 kmph on Uttar Pradesh's Purvanchal Expressway.
The video circulating on the internet shows four persons in a car, and one of the victims in the car said, 'Charo Marenge' influencing the other victim who was driving the car to speed up and drive at 300 kmph. However, right after speeding the car to 230 kmph, the car was hit by a container truck coming from the opposite side and four of them died on the spot.
The deceased were all in their 30s and have been identified as Dr Anand Prakash, a professor at a private medical college, Akhilesh Singh, a realtor, Deepak Kumar, an engineer and a businessman named Mukesh. All four of them are residents of Bihar.

According to the police, Dr Anand was driving when one of the victims sitting on his left side was live-streaming on Facebook, showing the luxury car's speedometer. While Dr Anand was driving, the passenger said to increase the speed to 300 kmph. As a result, Dr Anand asked them to fasten their seatbelt and sped the car. The car was coming from Sultanpur to Delhi.
After speeding the car to 230 kmph, a container truck was seen coming from the opposite side. Due to the high speed, the car crashed right into the truck and was reduced to a mangled heap, with the bloody bodies of its occupants strewn nearby. All of them died on the spot.
According to NDTV, the video shows a can placed next to the driver and the person streaming the video appears to be slurring, though there's no confirmation if any of them were under the influence of alcohol.
After the incident was reported to the police and Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), they rushed to the spot and carried out a rescue operation.
Sultanpur SP Somen Barma told TOI that the accident is being investigated thoroughly and a team has been formed to locate the absconding container driver, who has been charged with causing death by negligence. However, an enquiry into the technical work is pending.
On the other hand, a circular released by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said that "Regional officer/project director/independent engineer/authority engineer will be held liable for any fatal/ serious accident(s) that occur as a result of poor road engineering works and insufficient or poor installation of road safety features." Action will be taken in this regard.
"A technical inspection of the BMW and the container truck will be done with assistance from the forensic state laboratory," the officer said.
