HC asks KNRUHS to consider MBBS aspirant's plea for admission via B-category

Hyderabad:TheTelangana High Courtrecently issued directions toKaloji Naryana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS)to consider the representation of a student seeking admission into the MBBS/BDS course under the 'B' category of the management quota for the academic year 2025-26. Such a direction was issued by the HC bench after the counsel for the University submitted before the court that the representation made by the concerned student would be considered in accordance with the law. The plea was filed by a 19-year-old student who hails from the Khammam district. He argued that he inadvertently failed to register for admission under the specified quota. Further, he submitted a representation to the University on August 21, 2025, requesting to be allowed to register for counselling. However, getting no response from the University, the student approached the High Court bench seeking relief, directing the University to allow him to appear for counselling without causing prejudice to other eligible candidates.
