Haryana Govt to recruit 500 doctors soon, says Health minister Rao

Chandigarh:Haryana Health MinisterArti Singh Raoconducted a surprise inspection ofLNJP Civil Hospital in Kurukshetra on Friday and announced that500 doctors will soon be recruited to ensure there is noshortage of doctorsin government hospitals. According to the PTI report, the proposal for recruitment has already been prepared, and the hiring process will begin soon, she said in Kurukshetra after conducting a surprise inspection of the government hospital there. The minister checked the pharmacy, toilets, and cleanliness arrangements in every ward of the LNJP Civil Hospital. However, the minister found that medicines were available in sufficient quantities in the pharmacy. Later, she told reporters that many districts of Haryana have been affected due to floods. During this time, health department officers and staff are monitoring people's health and distributing free medicines, reports PTI. While interacting with the media, the Health Minister said that to maintain cleanliness and avoid causing any inconvenience to patients, the new building of the LNJP hospital, which is under construction will be completed in a phased manner. She emphasised special focus towards improving hygiene and upgrading all the toilets, reportsTOI. had earlier reported that in a move to strengthen the public healthcare system, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that beginning August 15, free treatment for all diseases will be made available at one government hospital in each district headquarters across the state. Speaking during a visit to the villages of Kishanpura and Girdarpur, CM Saini said these designated hospitals will be modernised and fully equipped, and will also offer services under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
