Govt To Depute One AYUSH Doctor At Each PHCs Across Karnataka

Bengaluru: There is a need to develop medicine for COVID-19 under Homeopathy as well, said Health & Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar here on Wednesday.
He was speaking at the Homeopathy Day function at RGUHS in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Emphasizing the importance of research in medical science the minister said that there is a need to focus more on research in medical education as India has become a mere importer and manufacturer.
Arsenicum album is said to be effective in controlling COVID-19, but there is a need to develop proper medicine for corona in homeopathy as well, he said.
We should encourage homeopathy practice. It was widely used when typhoid was detected. PM Narendra Modi has given more importance to Ayush. Our government led by CM B S Yediyurappa will be deputing one Ayush doctor at each PHCs across the state, said the minister.
Referring to the new variant of the COVID-19 Dr Sudhakar said that 107 UK returnees have tested positive for corona. Out of which 20 people have contracted the new mutant virus. 8 people in Delhi and 7 in Karnataka have contracted this new variant. 3 under BBMP limits and 4 in Shivamogga have been infected, he said. Everyone must follow the government guidelines to contain new variant, institutional quarantine must be strictly adhered with, he added.
The minister also inaugurated the 'Shri H N Tippeswamy and Smt Shantamma Memorial Lecture - 2020' organised by RGUHS on account of World Homeopathy Day.
