Jammu - Government Medical College, Kathua
Government Medical College, Kathua, is set to have a fresh batch of 100 MBBS students as the Board of Governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India has approved the same.
Official sources here on Thursday said that the approval of the Board of Governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India for renewal of permission for admission of the second batch of 100 students at Government Medical College, Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir u/s 10/A of the IMC Act 1956 for the academic year 2020-2021.

The Board of Governors has granted approval after consideration of the Compliance Verification Assessment Report (February 29, 2020), along with the summary/observations of the Member of the Undergraduate Expert Group appointed by the Board of Governors and an undertaking of the Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, read an order.
The permission is valid for one year and for admitting only one batch of 100 students during the academic year 2020-2021. The next batch of students in the MBBS course will be admitted to the college only after permission of the Board of Governors in supersession of the MCI for renewal/recognition, it further read.
