GMC Bhadradi Kothagudem Female Medicos Allegedly Being Mistreated By Principal: TJUDA Demands Investigation

New Delhi: MBBS students enrolled at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Bhadradi Kothagudem are allegedly facing instances of verbal abuse and harassment by the principal, the Telangana Junior Doctors Association (T-JUDA) said while raising concerns over the mistreatment of medicos.
Issuing a Press Release in this regard, T-JUDA stated that female students at the institute are being mistreated by the principal. Apart from this, the association said that the MBBS students are also facing various issues including inadequate food, and water facilities and inappropriate behaviour by the principal and his attendant.
"T-JUDA has received reports from several female medical students detailing instances of verbal abuse and harassment by the principal, creating a hostile environment that jeopardizes their academic progress and personal well-being. Additionally, there have been grievances regarding the insufficient provision of proper food in the mess, impacting the nutritional requirements of the students adversely," the association mentioned in its release.

Apart from demanding immediate action against the principal for his alleged misconduct towards female students, the association also emphasized the necessity for a thorough investigation.
Further, the association of resident doctors has also highlighted the immediate requirement to provide adequate facilities to the students pursuing their medical education at GMC Kothagudem including proper arrangements for food in the mess.
"In response to these distressing revelations, T-JUDA vehemently demands immediate action against the principal for his misconduct towards female students. Furthermore, TJUDA emphasizes the necessity for a thorough investigation into the actions of both the principal and his attendant to ensure accountability," the release added.
"In addition to advocating for the resolution of verbal abuse and misconduct issues, T-JUDA underscores the urgency of providing adequate facilities, including proper food arrangements in the mess, to fulfill the basic needs of the students effectively," the release issued by T-JUDA further mentioned.
