Fire At Base Hospital In Delhi Cantonment, No Casualties Reported

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at the Base Hospital in the Delhi Cantonment area on Tuesday, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received a call regarding the blaze, following which fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
As per fire officials, the fire broke out at around 3.50 am.

Soon after the receipt of information, over a dozen fire-tenders" fire tenders were pressed into service to control the blaze.
According to fire officials, the fire, which had spread in the operation theatre, intense care unit (ICU) and store room, was brought under control around 5.30 am.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
"A massive fire broke out at Base Hospital in Delhi Cantonment area," officials added.
"Medical equipment was damaged in the fire," they said adding that no casualties have been reported so far.
Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg, in a tweet, said, “Most dreaded things for firemen in fire incidents are cylinder blasts. But team DFS has always taken risks to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Delhi. A fire in Base hospital, Cantt, was received… team fought in presence of cylinder'', reports PTI.
The blaze was brought under control by the fire department officials.
Further details into the matter are awaited.
