Karnataka - A total of 85 BHMS graduates and 25 postgraduates were awarded degrees at the recently held 34th graduation ceremony of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital (FMHMCH), Karnataka.

The ceremony was held on Saturday, April 20 at 10 am and was presided over by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and President of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI).

Along with this, the Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and President of FMCI also honoured seven UG rank holders declared by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka for the overall BHMS examinations held from September 2018 to October 2022.

Furthermore, the best outgoing postgraduate student of the batch of 2020-21 was awarded the 'Dr Sumod Jacob Solomon Award' by the 6th batch of Mullerian and the FMHMC President’s Gold Medal was also awarded for the best outgoing postgraduate BHMS student of the 2018-19 batch at the event.

Additionally, other graduates were also honoured and given certificates by Chief Guest Professor (Dr) M S Moodithaya, followed by the oath led under the leadership of Principal Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran.

Meanwhile, Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMCH, also presented a descriptive annual report of the activities of Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital for the academic year 2023-2024.

During the event, FMHMC also announced that admissions are open for the year 2024-25 in Father Muller College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which will soon be functional in the same Deralakatte campus with the admission of 60 seats for B.Pharma.

Along with the students, faculty members were also honoured at the event such as Dr Madona Joseph who was honoured with a memento for her relentless services of 32 years at FMCI at various posts and at the end superannuating as a head of the department of forensic medicine and toxicology at FMHMC.
