Doctor Killed, 4 Injured As Car Falls Off The Road In Himachal Pradesh'S Mandi

Manali: In an unfortunate incident, a 24-year-old trainee doctor died and four others sustained injuries after their vehicle lost balance and fell down the road 60ft below, in Khiuri, Mandi.
The deceased has been identified as Anchala from Kumarsain in Shimla district while others are 23-year-old Hritika from Kangra district, 23-year-old Ankita from Kangra district, and 25-year-old Sonam from Mandi district and 24-year-old Yuvraj from Rajasthan.
The group had one male and four females who went to a birthday party of one of them and were returning from the party. It was early in the morning when the driver who was also a trainee doctor lost balance and fell down the road 60 feet below.

However, one female trainee died during the treatment and others were severely injured. As per an ANI tweet, one critically injured trainee doctor was referred to IMC and other injured doctors are undergoing treatment at the Ner Chowk medical college for treatment.
It was reported that Yuvraj was driving the car and the accident happened near Khiuri village close to BBMP tunnel at about 3-4 am.
Mandi superintendent of police, Shalini Agnihotri told TOI, that Sonam has sustained deep injuries and has been referred to PGI, Chandigarh for further treatment.
The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway to determine the reasons behind the accident.
