Doctor Allegedly Molests Minor At Mohalla Clinic, NCPCR Seeks Action From Delhi Police

New Delhi: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken strict cognizance of the report of alleged sexual harassment of a minor from a dalit community by a doctor. The Commission has written to the Delhi police seeking details of the action taken in the case.
team had earlier reported that a 12 year old girl was allegedly sexually harassed by a doctor at a mohalla clinic in the Kanjhawala area of Rohini district, after she had gone there to purchase some medicines.

According to a media report in the Republic world, the girl had gone to the doctor as she was feeling unwell, where she was allegedly harassed by the doctor. The police had arrived at the place of incident due to a public outrage that took place at the mohalla clinic the next day morning after the girl informed her family members of the incident.
A complaint was filed with the police, who had registered a case against the doctor under various sections including Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The girl has undergone a medical check-up and professional counseling, reports Republic World.
