Gujarat BSc Nursing Admission Notice

The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has informed the candidates about the 5th offline round for the BSc Nursing course.

To participate, the candidates need to give online consent. The online consent can be given till 22.2.2023, up to 6:00 pm. Consent to participate in the fifth (offline) round is mandatory. Otherwise, there will be no change in the admission obtained in the previous round.

Candidates admitted to Physiotherapy, Orthotics, and Prosthetics courses besides Occupational Therapy, i.e., GNM, ANM, BSc Nursing, B Optometry, and Audiology in any Government or Independent Institution have given consent. Candidates who are unable or qualified for Physiotherapy, Orthotics and Prosthetics, and Occupational Therapy and are not admitted to any other course can consent.

Recently the results for round 4 were announced. The admission process got over on 10.2.2023. The selected candidates were asked to report to the help center for depositing original certificates and confirmation of admission. The admission process was carried out at 47 help centers across Gujarat.

BSc Nursing is a 4 years professional undergraduate course. Those who have passed class 12 from Gujarat Board or its equivalent in science stream with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English with minimum eligible marks are eligible for BSc Nursing admission. The candidates must be of 17 years of age by 31st December 2022.

The medical education department is pivotal in developing medical and paramedical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions and premier referral centers from peripheral hospitals.
