DME Assam Releases NEET Counselling Schedule For MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing Admissions 2022

The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) announced the NEET UG counselling to begin on 10th October 2022 for the academic year 2022-23. The detail related to EWS, reserved category, and Ex-Serviceman, Serving Defense Personnel & Sports quota has also been released along the NEET UG merit list.
The counselling schedule is for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses.

Details related to EWS and reserved category -
1. General category candidates those who are eligible as per the Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam and who did not opt for the EWS category at the time of applying for NEET-UG-2022, can now apply for claiming for the EWS category to the office of the undersigned with valid documents.
2. The candidates must apply in the prescribed format available on the official website www.dme.assam.gov.in for inclusion into the EWS category.
3. The format is to be downloaded from the website and submitted to the office of the undersigned (2nd floor, Room No. 5) on or before 14th October 2022 during office hours by hand. Applications sent via Post/ E-mail shall not be accepted.
4. However, candidates who have already applied for the EWS category in NEET-UG¬2022 under the EWS category or have already applied as per this Directorate Notice vide No. DME/UG/234/2022/19373, dtd. 23/09/2022 for inclusion into the EWS category need not apply.
5. Candidates belonging to the reserved category who are eligible as per the Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam and want to claim for a change in their category can now apply to this Directorate in plain paper with valid documents (2nd floor, Room No. 5), on or before 14th October 2022 during office hours by hand. Applications sent via Post/ E-mail shall not be accepted.
6. Candidates should collect their receipt of acknowledgement at the time of submission of their forms.
Ex-Serviceman, Serving Defense Personnel & Sports quota –
1. The application form is available on the website www.dme.assam.gov.in.
2. Duly filled-in form along with all relevant documents as per the provision of the MBBS/BDS Admission Rule, 2017 (Amendment upto 2022) must be submitted to the office of the undersigned (2nd floor, Room No. 5) on or before 12th October 2022, during office hour by hand.
3. This office will consider no further applications after the last date of submission.
4. Applications sent via Postal/ E-mail shall not be accepted.
5. Candidates are also requested to collect their receipt of acknowledgement when submitting their forms.
6. The candidates will have to appear for verification of documents and preparation of the category above merit list at the Directorate of Medical Education, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati, Assam, on 14th October 2022 at 11 AM.
