Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has invited online applications for undergoing internship training for FMGs.
The application is invited from candidates who are a permanent resident of Assam and who have passed their MBBS (Part-II) final examination or equivalent degree from institutes outside India (Foreign Medical Graduates) and has cleared the FMG screening test conducted by NBE, New Delhi, and intending to undergo 1 (one) year Compulsory Rotatory Internship Training from Government Medical Colleges of Assam.
The prescribed format of application forms will be available on this office website, i.e., www.dmeassam.gov.in. The application and attested documents below must be submitted to the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 (2nd Floor), Room No. 5, on or before 25.3.2023. Application forms without the documents will not be considered valid.
The candidates are requested to acquire an acknowledgment receipt from the concerned after submission of their application form. Applications sent by post/email will not be considered.

The following are the documents to be submitted –
1. Permanent Resident Certificate of Assam.
2. Admit Card of HSLC Examination (Age proof).
3. MBBS or equivalent degree pass certificate.
4. NOC from MBBS or equivalent degree passing University.
5. Score Card of Screening Test conducted by NBE for Foreign Medical Graduates.
There will be counseling for allotment of Institutes for undergoing internship, the date of which will be notified later on on the DME website.

It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic, and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through different hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in medical science in the state of Assam.
